More than numbers

Every study is prepared for the sector and supported by AI, to assess tourism as a whole.

  1. 1

    What it means

Each figure comes with its context: what changed, and why it matters for the sector.

  2. 2

    How to read it

Definitions, methods and comparisons show how a figure is read — and where a raw count misleads.

  3. 3

    What it is for

Indices and indicators turn the data into decisions for hotels, investors, destinations and every sector connected to tourism.

Indices built for Turkish tourism

Proprietary indicators that cover the blind spots of occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and border counts.

  • Supply Pressure Index (ABE)

How much newly added bed capacity actually turns into guest nights — an early warning of price wars.

Added guest nights ÷ added capacity nights × 100

  • Guest Night Revenue (GNR)

Accommodation revenue per guest night, from official accommodation-tax declarations: comparable across destinations, and tracked after inflation.

Accommodation-tax base revenue ÷ guest nights

  • Cost–Exchange Rate Scissors

Local costs — labour, energy, food and beverage — rising faster than the exchange rate. It shows when higher turnover still means lower margins.

  • Accommodation versus border entries

Real facility stays and length of stay in 81 provinces, instead of border-gate counts that include transit passengers and day trips.
